KING PACK vial filling machines can be configured for liquid, powder and lyophilized vial products, from individual filling units to integrated washing, drying, filling, stoppering and capping lines.
Tell us your vial size, product type, filling volume, required output and cleanroom conditions. Our project team can recommend a suitable machine configuration and connect it with upstream preparation and downstream packaging equipment.
If the project includes a critical filling zone, RABS or an isolator, review our aseptic vial line design and validation guide before finalizing the URS.
Choose a Vial Filling Configuration by Product
| Application | Typical configuration | Key points to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Liquid vials | Liquid filling, stoppering and capping | Fill volume, viscosity, dosing method and closure type |
| Lyophilized products | Liquid filling, partial stoppering and freeze-dryer integration | Transfer method, stopper position and line interface |
| Powder vials | Powder dosing, stoppering and capping | Powder characteristics, dose range and containment needs |
| Nested containers | Flexible filling platform for vials, cartridges or prefilled syringes | Nest format, changeover needs and product path |
KING PACK Vial Filling Machine Options
Vial Liquid Lyophilized Preparation Line

A coordinated preparation and filling solution for liquid vial products that continue to lyophilization. The exact scope can be matched to the required formulation, transfer process and freeze-dryer interface. View the vial liquid lyophilized preparation line.
KPGZA500 Nested PFS / Cartridges / Vials 3-in-1 Filling Machine

A flexible filling platform for nested prefilled syringes, cartridges and vials. It is intended for projects that need multiple container formats on a shared machine platform. View the KPGZA500 configuration.
Vial Powder Washing, Filling & Sealing Line

An integrated line option for powder vial projects, combining vial preparation with dosing, stoppering and capping stages. Powder properties and target dose must be confirmed before the dosing system is selected. View the vial powder line.
Vial Washing, Drying & Filling Line for Lyophilized Products

A linked line for vial washing, drying and liquid filling, with the downstream process configured according to the lyophilized product and closure requirements. View the liquid vial linkage line.
Typical Vial Processing Line
- Vial infeed and washing: Containers enter the line and are cleaned according to the project process.
- Drying or heat treatment: The required drying or depyrogenation stage is defined by the product and process requirements.
- Filling: The dosing system is selected for liquid or powder characteristics, fill volume and accuracy target.
- Stoppering: Full or partial stoppering is configured according to the product, including lyophilization workflows.
- Capping: The closure is applied and secured with the required cap-handling method.
- Inspection and labelling: Optional inspection, rejection, coding and labelling equipment can be connected downstream.
Information Needed to Select a Vial Filling Machine
- Product type: liquid, powder or product intended for lyophilization
- Vial dimensions, neck finish, stopper and cap specifications
- Fill-volume range and target dosing accuracy
- Required production output and batch size
- Product-contact material and cleaning requirements
- Cleanroom, containment or isolation conditions
- Upstream preparation and downstream equipment interfaces
- Available floor space, utilities and preferred automation level
Why Build the Vial Line as One Project?
Vial preparation, filling, stoppering, capping and labelling affect one another. Planning the line as one project makes it easier to coordinate container transfer, buffer capacity, changeovers, controls and downstream output. It also reduces the risk of buying individual machines that cannot exchange containers or production data smoothly.
KING PACK can discuss individual machines or an integrated line. The final configuration is based on the actual container, product and process rather than a fixed standard package.
Vial Filling Machine FAQs
Can one machine fill different vial sizes?
Often yes, within the machine’s designed format range. Change parts, dosing components and handling guides may be required. The vial drawings and samples should be reviewed before the changeover plan is confirmed.
Can a vial filling machine handle both liquid and powder?
Liquid and powder products normally use different dosing systems. A project may combine dedicated modules or use a flexible platform, but the product characteristics and containment requirements must be evaluated first.
Can the line connect to a freeze dryer?
Yes, a lyophilized-product project can include partial stoppering and an interface for transfer to and from the freeze dryer. The transfer method and layout should be defined during line planning.
Do you supply only complete lines?
No. Individual vial filling, stoppering or capping machines can be discussed, as well as integrated washing-to-labelling lines.
